29 of 30 Banks Pass Latest Stress Test
The results of the latest so called 'stress test' of the major US banks was released on Friday. I thought about not posting this because it has been so well covered elsewhere, but decided I should share it here to continue the narrative of this blog.Some of the zero-edge bloggers and the like have criticized the results and carried on with unproductive conspiracy theories.My take? I don't believe that these results truly mean anything about how these banks would ultimately do if 2008 showed up again tomorrow, but I do think it demonstrates that there has been an effort to increase capital requirements and most of the banks are meeting them. And that is a good thing (but not really an investable idea!)Here are the results from the Wall Street Journal:
