I think I agree with Josh. One of the hardest aspects of being an advisor for me isn’t my research and portfolio management. It’s working with my investors’ emotions. My clients are across the board from too conservative to too aggressive. My job is to help them navigate all the issues impacting their portfolio and their financial plan and help them work through these emotional highs and lows.
As I speaking with investors, I’ve heard some optimism, but not near the excitement financial twits are seeing. I think the government shutdown really rattled some investors and I expect the coming drama in January will do the same.
